The Medical Benevolent Association of NSW (61)
A healthy culture in health workplaces doesn’t guarantee good practitioner health. However, it may mean that individual ill- health is recognised and attended to in a more effective manner. A review of referrals to the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW over the past five years indicates that there are a range of health and other challenges that health practitioners face. Workplace culture is a factor in a number of referrals. Working from outside the health workplace guarantees confidentiality for health practitioners who need assistance, but limits the ability of MBANSW to feedback information which may influence culture.
