We all face conflicts in our professional and personal lives. Unfortunately, many people do not have well-developed skills to handle these conflicts and disputes in a constructive manner. The principles of negotiation provide a very useful framework for creative approaches to managing conflict - knowing when to compromise and when to stand your ground. Effective planning is central to handling conflict and deciding what strategy to take into a negotiation. It is also very helpful to understand when to involve a neutral third party to assist in finding solutions. This workshop is designed to add to your negotiation and conflict management toolkit by actively addressing these and other issues. It will highlight the need for flexibility in how you approach negotiation in order to avoid being a 'one-trick pony'.
